3. FA Level 1 Drills

Please note that these drills are an extension to the learning environment and knowledge that candidates will pick up by enrolling on an FA Level 1 Course. It does not in any way, shape or form replace the course, it is purely a tutorial aid to run alongside the course to assist prospective Level 1 coaches.

The FA Level 1 Course is the first step for anyone interested in coaching football. The primary aim of the course is to give prospective coaches the ideal opportunity to plan, do and then review safe, fun, progressive football coaching sessions. The course gives prospective coaches guidance on how to plan and structure training in a way that maximises ball-rolling time and ideas on when to coach individually, versus group discussion. The course also gives tips in how to encourage players to engage in reviewing outcomes in a way that promotes better decisions in game situations. This helps build player confidence and aids training sessions becoming more of a relevant, interactive and enjoyable learning experience. This in turn can also help make coaching more rewarding.
