The under 9s played really well today , with a real improvement in passing demonstrated by all the girls. Without a regular goalkeeper 4 of the girls took a turn in goal and did brilliantly.

Grace made a couple of great saves , her goal kicks were really powerful and well placed. She also played well in midfield with some great runs forward and good pressure on the ball.

Connie was confident in midfield with some great interceptions and provided cover in defence when needed, as well as moving forward with determination.

Evie made some good saves with one requiring a dive to the ground ( sorry for the extra washing!) Her ability to move with the ball into forward positions posed a threat and she came close to

scoring a few times.

Daisy was first up in goal and then played in defence. Her passing out was excellent, with some real thought to where she was placing the ball for her team mates to run on to. She also made some excellent defensive decisions, playing the ball out when there were no other options. For this reason she was player of the match.

Thank you to Iona who stepped in to play today. Her positioning in defence was very good, with key interceptions made. She was excellent on the ball moving forward and gelled with the team really well.

Well done to all the girls who worked hard for the whole 40 mins with no subs.
