Fortunately the game still went ahead after a delay, and the players and spectators were rewarded with a close encounter with all players and areas of the field seeing constant action. From a Bury perspective everyone carried out their role and worked hard (despite the 26deg heat!). We pressed well in midfield, passed well out of defence and had good possession. The goals came with a great team goal and passing move leading to Anthony's first, he scored two more off the back of powerful solo play to secure his hatrick. The opposition were always a threat but our tackling and energy kept them at bay for long periods of the game. Not to single out any player as all six were excellent at winning the ball and pushing forwards!
We were unfortunate at the end of concede two goals as we dropped our guard, but to take a draw and send 11 players home proud and happy was a great result for all.
Well done Blacks!
