The Under 7 Blacks, captained by Harry, played a strong Harlow Town team in a an exciting encounter on Saturday. The Harlow Town Hawks haven't lost a game this season and it showed as they put our players under pressure from the off. Despite the pressure our team were disciplined and defended well, with some excellent marshalling of the Harlow attackers and goal keeping. At half time the game was still goal-less.
That's not to say we didn't have our chances as the players worked hard to forge space, in the third quarter they were re-warded with an excellent goal from a free-kick by Owen.
The boys battled hard, but sadly our defence was broken in the last quarter as Harlow mounted increased pressure and we conceded three goals in quick succession. Take nothing away, the team worked hard and well together and should feel proud of their performance as always. Well done Blacks!
