A chilly evening game produced some entertaining football from both teams at the Furzfield Centre.
Bury were the brighter team in the early exchanges and looked very assured at the back helped by a dominate and assured performance by Madison Lang.
The pressing we continued to display putting the opposition under pressured paid off and a delightful through ball by Ella Richardson set Alysia Lawrence on her way whose direct run beating a player with a powerful finish past the keeper to send us into the lead.
Both Amelie and Alysia had chances before the break and we went in at half time with the lead and a brilliant team display.
Our work rate continued from the start of the second half and in the first 10 minutes of the game it only looked liked Bury would add to their tally.
Potters Bar were never going to stay this quiet for the whole game and were always going to have a spell and the grew in confidence as the second half went on and drew level with 9 minutes to go.
The game was then wide open and pinged from on end to the other as both teams went for the win. Bury almost stole it at the death with the final whistle as Katie Marshall shot from the edge of the area went narrowly wide.
Another day we win the game however it was the manner of the team performance and confidence on display which gives the coaches great expectation for our final couple of games.
Well done to Madison Lang, Ella Richardson and Alysia Lawrence who were our players of the match. But well done to all once again, a joy to watch.
