Hard work in the sunshine

We returned today after 2 weeks with no football and the sun shone as we played a rare game at Richard Hale on the 4g.

For the first twenty minutes we looked like the better team and there was some good inter play between Alysia Lawrence and Ella Richardson both girls having chances.

They got lucky on 21 minutes as we made a rear error and they finished well, nothing our keeper could do against a very assured finished.

We thought we re-grouped well to half time and didnt let it effect us again having a couple of more chances and real credit should go to the girls as we played a different formation than usual.

After half time we started well again as we reverted to a back three and both Ava and Lydia did well getting on the ball and linking with Ella Richardson up front.

Potters Bar then upped their intensity and had a really good spell which forced us to drop deeper and deeper, there efforts rewarded with a super strike from distance. Maddison then made some super saves to keep us in touching distance.

Credit to the girls again as we regroupped once more and had a strong end to the half going close on a couple of occasions.

Players of the match were -

Alsysia for her great link up play with Ella first half and second half for her positive attitude and work rate to keep their defense busy.

Madison as chose by the opposition and no greater plaudit to have that recognition, some great saves second half and as always assured in her distribution. Our rock at the back.

Rhianna the constant work rate she got through once more is to be applauded. We dont know where she finds the energy. Some super tackles and couple of amazing passes through to lydia for chances at goal.

Ella R like rhianna was full of work rate and along side Alysia they look dangerous as a pair with their link play.

Credit to all the girls as there heads never dropped and they keep working hard and as coaches that makes us happy.
