The sun shone down on us at home today as we found ourselves bottom of the Division Three vs The team sitting unbeaten at the top.
Whilst the score line finished 1 - 0 to Bury Rangers it could and should of been more!
Time and time again the hard work paid of in the first half from Amelie, Rhianna and Alysia who never stopped running and forcing the opposition into mistakes. Just before half time Erin Stuart-Obrien hard work and perseverance paid off and she set Alysia Lawrence free who totally deserved to get on the score sheet to bring up her 10th goal of the season.
Lucy and I could give Alysia player of the match every week as she a real star and a consistent performer, please keep it up as you could go far with the potential you have.
It was the same again in the second half and Alysia and Amelie both went close on a number of occasion and it should a could of been more, although we almost got caught out near the end.
Further praise in addition to Alysia who never stopped working hard for the team should also go to Madison, Amelie, Georgie, Katie and Rhianna who were outstanding today.
Katie a total colossus at center half and dictated things so much and never looked like being beaten by their forwards.
Georgie grew into the game and had her best match in a Bury shirt since joining in the summer. Keep it up!
Rhianna was everywhere, her work ethic today was on point and it really encouraged her team mates to do the same. She linked well with defence and attack, also trying a nice turn or to in the process.
Amelie since switching into the centre from out wide is turning in the that box to box player supporting both the defence when needed and springing into attack given every chance and unlucky not to score today.
Madison - second clean sheet in a row, and is really starting to command her box, boss her defenders around and making brave decisions when to come for the ball and claim it. Again keep it up.
Player of the match as chosen by the opposition was Amelie
Coaches players of the match is shared between Rhianna and Georgie.
