A semi final away at Abbots Langley the under 12 girls were to play on a bone dry slopey pitch which played a part in the result. As perusal the girls started slowly possibly nerves but they couldn't find there rhythm and Evergreen went one nil up after 5 minutes. Emily fired one back immediately. Then the Evergreen Keeper scored from a drop kick the pitch playing a big part to give them the lead. Bury grew into the game lots of good work from the defence enabled the attack to create some great opportunities but they couldn't make there chances count. Just before the end of the half Connie was bundled over in the box and gave a penalty which she smashed home. 2-2 at half time

The girls had the slope in the 2nd half and the confidence to know they were 30 mins from the shield final and hit the second half running creating lots of chances Evergreen gave away a penalty for handball and Lottie stroked it in to give Bury the deserved lead.

Not the game plan but we sat back admiring our good work to get the lead and Evergreen pressure mounted but the Bury Defence of Grace, Mya and Captain Evie wouldn't let them pass until the ref awarded Evergreen a penalty despite there striker hitting it well Sienna saved it superbly and we maintained our lead and now have our place in the final.
