The 6 a side tournament meant lots of rotations, which made it hard to find our rhythm. Conceding few, but scoring fewer, well none, we dropped into the trophy competition from the cup and before we knew it we were in a quarter final that went to extra time and dreaded penalty shoot out! Having narrowly won that we progressed to the semi final versus Garston.

Despite creating lots of chances now the girls had found their feet yet again we ended full and extra time goalless and another penalty shootout. Bury heads were cooler than Garstons and our goal keeper made some terrific stops, including one with her face, which she bravely shrugged off.

Against all odds we won that and found ourselves marching out on to the main pitch to play out a final versus our hosts, Ware Youth.

Evergy levels were sapping and an unfortunate first half own goal from one of the coaches' daughters left us behind at half time. We tinkered but didn’t have the reserves after a long hot day and Ware scored second.

A brilliant first tournament for the Tigers, trophies for runners up and tremendous experience.
