They opened against Ware and should of scored a heap of goals but only managed to get 1 in the net against some inspired goal keeping and defending from the opposition. Next up was R&A Soccer Academy not sure what part of the world they hailed from but they had a number of decent players but we stood up to the test and a draw was a fair result.

The girls then won their third game against Bedwell Dragons but again the score line really should of been more as we missed a number of chances which seems to have been a theme of the past few weeks and we need to get our composure back in this respect.

We went into the final group game knowing a win by a goal more than what R&A achieved against St Albans Wildcats would of been enough to go into the Cup Final, alas again we missed a number of chances against a very stubborn St Albans team who defended for all their worth and nearly caught us out on the counter attack. Again we had to settle for a draw which saw us 2nd in the group on goal difference and into the Shield Final.

The girls were thankfully not done and were determined to take a trophy home with them today and we powered our way through our final game against the hosts to bring the Shield home.

Well done to all the girls and a very special mention to both Amelia R and Carys in goal, along with those who played in defence who between them all finished the day without conceding a single goal across the 5 games. Coaches are very proud of you all.
