The Leopards had their first taste of 7-aside football today in an early start in the Hemel tournament. The girls did brilliantly in their first match to acclimatise quickly to the change of numbers and took an early lead through ⚽️ Scarlett L vs LGDA. The girls continued to play very well and got off to a flyer with 3 points and a clean sheet. The next two group games were far more challenging against sides who play in higher divisions and that showed.

The girls still put in a lot of desire and effort and managed to progress from their group into The Plate Final against our friends from Ware Youth. The girls gave absolute everything vs Ware in the Leopards first ever final. Commitment, bravery and concentration.

Ware could not find away past Amy who was absolutely outstanding in goal making multiple saves and Esme and Leigha in Defence. The Final rightly finished goalless in normal time and we entered extra time. Unfortunately a decision went against us after no foul was given on Flori when her legs were kicked away from under her and our opponents capitalised on the counter attack and scored in extra time. We were just moments away from penalties

Despite losing in The Plate Final the coaches are immensely proud of the Leopards for all their hard work and performances this morning. Thank you to the parents too as we appreciate it was a long morning.
