Now becoming something of a regular fixture in the Bury Rangers Christmas calendar, the Boxing Day kickabout for 2018 was one again a well attended event, with a mixture of Bury Rangers players from under 7's right through to the under 16's age group.
Parents, grandparents and friends of Bury were also invited to participate, with many mums and dads pulling on their football boots and working off Christmas excesses.
The session started with a skills circle, then straight into a quick 10 minute game with children versus parents.
Next, play was divided between two pitches, with under 7 - under 11 and under 12 - under 16 groups, again children versus parents.
Both games were close run, 5-4 and 4-3 respectively, finishing on American penalty shootouts.
Great Ormond Street Hospital was the charity for the day, with £155 raised.
Thanks to all those that organised and participated and donated money to such a worthy cause!
