Bury Rangers FC’s all-inclusive team has won the first ever ‘Kit for Kids’ competition, organised between talkSPORT and Wickes – the official partner of the EFL. The contest saw over 1,500 entries from across the country and over 13,000 visits to the website following the launch of Kit for Kids, a new initiative that offers local communities the chance to win free Mitre team kits, while supporting grass roots football. The public were asked to vote for the team that they felt deserved to win it the most, with Bury Rangers FC’s all-inclusive side coming out triumphant. The Bury team was treated to a coach trip and lunch at talkSPORT towers, before a spot of football with renowned talkSPORT host Jim White in goal, who took time out to speak with them all.
