An evenly contested match against Stevenage Borough today. The game started closely with Bury enjoying a lot of the ball but unable to make a break through. Stevenage Borough had a chance but Edward was off his line well to make a good save. After a nil nil first quarter the team really clicked into gear with some good team work and a quick hat trick for Dominic, all well taken goals. The third quarter saw our super sub Zach, standing in for the missing Aaron, spotting the keeper off his line and taking a well timed shot to increase our lead. The players all did well remembering their positions and supporting each other. Harrison played a good captains match, encouraging his team mates and leading by example, getting into good space and calling for the ball frequently. Abi was involved in the game throughout, always there to make an interception and passing to her team mates. The fourth quarter was very close with Stevenage pulling a goal back and Dominic in goal making a good save to thwart another. Alex must have made 50+ tackles coming to his teams rescue a number of times and in the last quarter showing his attacking skills with a number of runs the length of the pitch but unable to get a merited goal. The quarter finished with Harrison going on a good run down the right and somehow managing to finish from a tight angle for a Harry Kane esque goal. Well done the Blues!
