The weather god's smiled down on us for the majority of the game, only adding the coupé de grace once we went four down in the final quarter and adding dampness to disappointment.

However there were a lot of positives to take from a 4-0 defeat which, slightly, flattered our hosts.

1: We look dangerous going forward. The team has goals in it for sure and would have scored tonight but for a misplaced pass or two.

2: Exactly half the team are new, but it didn't show. I'm sure that it won't take long to integrate the new players

3: All the goals we conceded were preventable with a little work.

Finally - there were several good individual performances all over the pitch. Connor was a rock in defence, Khiren was really good, tough in the tackle and keen to look up and get the ball forward . Logan was his usual tenacious self and played some lovely passes too, I could go on and mention all the boys, but this report is already too long.

POTM was Ben W, who was calm and progressive with the ball in each of the positions that we played him.

It was always going to be a tough game for a friendly and we acquitted ourselves well.
