The Stripes never stopped battling this morning with some really good build ups and runs, but were hampered by a disorganised defence at times, particularly as the lads tired towards the end of the game.
The first quarter was very balanced with the Stripes giving as much as they got, Aiden in nets saving the bacon more than once. Dominic and Nixon worked tremendously hard up front in the second quarter but we let ourselves down with some disorganisation at the back under real pressure from the visitors who slotted home three goals, answered by a great strike from Miles before the half time whistle.
The visitors kept up the pressure relentlessly in the third quarter with Freddy making a couple of great saves and Henry, Alexander and Aiden working hard to push back. The final quarter saw the Stripes turn it on again with Dom bagging a late goal and the lads continued to give their all, undeterred by a late penalty which Alexander stopped. Well done everyone for 100% effort against a strong side. We just need to work on that defending!
Well done Stripes! Paul and Andy
