This game gave the opportunity for players to learn the rules and how a game is played. With both teams taking the opportunity to play this pre-season friendly in this spirit.
Owen Pope took the captains arm band for the first time, talking to the less experiences players and led by example showing a desire to drive forward with the ball and securing all four goals for Bury.
This was the first chance to play in a match for Alex Rhind, Edward Barry and Zach Knight and it was great to see them all getting stuck in and involved in the play.
Ellis Hurley, Aidan Meehan and Harry Oughton enjoyed spells in and attacking positions and Liam Scott took on a range of positions showing great versatility.
All the lads showed a developing awareness of the importance of working as a team in possession and defence and it was great to see them building their confidence in a game environment. Well done Stripes!
