Another testing day weather wise, but not enough to stop the players putting in a good performance. Using the experience they are gaining to control the game from start to finish.
Anthony Murphy was captain today and worked hard covering his team mates and also bagging a hatrick. Dylan Wykes also shared the spoils with four excellent goals.
Goals aside, what impressed us most was the way the players all stuck their positions and worked well covering each other when needed. Our goalkeepers were excellent when called into action, but rarely threatened due to some excellent defending. We also retained possession well from the goal kicks and worked the ball up the pitch. So big shout out to all the players or took a turn in defence today and ensured a comfortable victory.
It was great to see Potters Bar getting a consolation goal at the end and well done to all the players on the pitch for all working hard and providing an entertaining game for the rain soaked parents!
Well done Bury!
