The whites eventually won through in this tough encounter against a physical Wormley side who had beaten us comfortably earlier in the season.
Debutantes Jacob Lee and Oliver Morris slotted in brilliantly and were both heavily involved from the first whistle with Oliver Morris making some great interceptions and Jacob Lee opening the scoring with a well taken strike.
Bury were in the ascendancy early on and it was no surprise that they extended the lead to 2 and then 3-0 through Anthony Murphy as they were dominating the play. Anthony Murphy was showing his full repertoire of skills and causing Wormley a lot of problems.
The 3rd quarter saw Wormley come back into the game as Bury were appearing to tire in the heat. After a couple of quick goals we went into the final quarter with all to play for. Wormley came out hard, equalising and then taking the lead despite Jack Taylor's best efforts in goal. With 5 to play Bury rallied and equalised through Luca Krzykala before Jack made a great save one on one to keep it all square. With time running out Bury won it through a superbly taken goal by Owen Pope. Luca Krzykala then had a perfectly good goal chalked off for a foul on the goalkeeper which would have topped off a fantastic great come back.
The boys should be proud of how they battled and came back for a great win.
