Thank you to everyone that's completed the process so far. Around 200 of you have completed the process and while things have gone really well, as is to be expected, there will always be a few teething problems.

So, if you're one of the 75% of members still to complete the process, here are some tips to help you...

Common pitfalls
With any new process like this, there are bound to be a few teething problems, but we’ve managed to deal with these quickly. However, there are some common mistakes being made and we’ve also helped a few parents with queries surrounding the parent and child account relationship. So we thought we’d publish some tips to help those of you yet to sign-up.

Remember Pitchero is a specialist platform
The Pitchero platform is designed specifically for sports clubs. This means it has been carefully designed to limit access to certain content for safeguarding purposes and, therefore, has to differ from regular websites. Additionally, to support our club and FA needs, things like kit sizes and FA FAN numbers are needed during the process and this has caught a few people out.

Avoid the pitfalls
You can easily avoid these pitfalls by making use of the Parent User Guide. This tells you, step-by-step, how to obtain everything you need to complete the process smoothly. A copy of the Parent User Guide is included at the foot of this article for you to download. You can also navigate to it by visiting the Website Tutorial pages, which you'll find in the Information section of the website.

It's not War & Peace!
The guide may appear lengthy but it includes pictures of the website screens, so it really doesn’t take long to get through and reading it first will save you time and hassle. Feedback from parents that have used the guide is that they completed everything in about 15 minutes!

Recommended approach – as easy as 1, 2, 3!

1. Use a laptop or desktop computer/mac if possible
once registered you can use the App but we recommend completing the set-up and player registration on a laptop or desktop

2. Take 5 minutes to read the Parents User Guide BEFORE you attempt to register
you can print it off if you wish

3. Keep the Parents User Guide handy and actively refer to it as you go through each step of the process
this will ensure you have everything you need at each step.
