Together Stronger

To all of our players, parents & carers, I would like to wish you all a happy Christmas and pass on a few thank yous.

We have a core group of parents who take on committee roles and continue to work together well to ensure the club sustains its duties. This was evident recently as we organised in a short space of time, the registration of two new girls teams at u9 and u10 age groups. There was a lot of work that went into making that happen. Simon, Siobhan, Pippa, Hannah and John – many thanks for your brilliant contributions.

To all of our coaches who have put up with my continued requests and expectations. When I watch you all train, consistently I see our girls and young women enjoying themselves and being challenged. I see you ride the highs and lows of coaching with humility, humour and enthusiasm and I thank you for that.

To our parents who do team admin, are social organisers, run the line, put up the nets, have helped with kit, pick up other kids to get to matches etc. Your input is so important and invaluable to help make the club function. Big thanks to you.

Our mini tournament recently highlighted what a great club we are. The girls embraced playing with other players from different age groups, they ensured younger players were included, displayed some great football and had good fun as well. On top of this there was plenty of support from our coaches and parents to make it a successful evening and round off the year in style.

Have a great break and I look forward to seeing you all on a pitch or at Richard Hale in the New Year. Looking forward to having our new u9 & u10 teams join us.

Best wishes

Jamie Southwell – Head of Bury Rangers Girls
