Great Yarmouth - Sporting Champions!

Last weekend 3 age groups U8, U10 & U11 travelled to Great Yarmouth to join the R&T Tours tournament.

The event attracted teams across the UK and over the course of two days Bury teams played eight games against competitive teams.

All teams had a mixed weekend of results, with games being won or lost by the odd goal, which made for exciting football.

At the presentation event to conclude the weekend all players were congratulated by Sir Trevor Brooking and given a medal for their efforts.

Bury Rangers had been identified by tournaments officials and referees to be the most sporting team and this was reflected across all three age groups in competition with tens of other teams.

The 'Bury way' represented by all players, coaches and parents had been recognised by officials, and as such we were presented with a Sporting trophy awarded to all three team’s managers and team captains.
