Old Bury kit that was donated during Presentation Day on June 10th is put to good use by the Dave Bell Foundation

On Sunday 17th June Dave Bell, founder of the Dave Bell Foundation, presented old Bury Rangers FC shirts and tracksuits that were kindly donated during Presentation Day to Wailers FC Mwimuto, via the Dave Bell Foundation.

They were playing against Membley and Wailers FC had planned a presentation day to include Dave Bell presenting the kit from Bury Rangers and Haringey Borough as well as talking to the community on how the Dave Bell Foundation was supporting their team.

Receiving kit from an English team brought huge excitement from the children, captured at the start of the video.

Kabete Approved School is for children between the age of 4 and 14 who have hit tough times; some are retrieved from the streets as they have no loving home to go to, some will arrive as their families can't cope with them and others have been marginalised within their school for lots of different reasons. The School do great work in educating them, giving them a supportive environment and then when they are ready to integrate them back into their communities.

The delivery of the Bury Rangers shirts to them, which they will wear during sport lessons, makes them feel appreciated and wanted, which is something they are unlikely to have felt before they came to the school.

Thank you to Bury Rangers FC for this gift.

From Dave Bell and all those involved in our DBF Kenya project.
