No fires were put out on this occasion! Just Team Work!

Blue Watch Hertford attends Bury Rangers Football Club.

On the 12th November 2018 Blue Watch Hertford attended Bury Rangers Girls FC training session.

The attendance at the session was part of Bury Rangers Girls theme for this season “Fit for football, fit for life, and fit for careers” which encourages the girls to maintain their football fitness and think about how that can be used in their personal lives as well as potentially in future careers.

The Watch were keen to encourage this initiative as part of their Youth Engagement work, promoting team work, fitness and potential career opportunities. Blue watch trained with the U11 and U14 squads taking part in warm up activities as well as some football skills sessions.

WC Antrobus spoke to the U11 team and asked the players what they liked about football. She was told that they liked team work, doing a sport that made them fit and taking on challenges. Helen was able to explain that she did all of that in her role as Watch Commander.

The attendance of the Fire Service was very well received by all the girls at the club and we are now looking at a fitness challenge evening next spring when the Watch will take a fitness session and see just how fit Bury Girls Football team players really are!
